What I've been up to

So, aside from preparing for my grand reopening, and sewing for the one swap I'm currently in, I've also taken on a commission for a trade. A very, very epic trade. A trade that I am so excited about, I won't even tell you all what it is.
I will when I get it in my hands.
I'm just that excited. You all might not care as much as I do, but that's just how I want to do it.


So, while working on the commission...my sewing machine broke D:
I got it 6 years ago, and it's seen about 4 of actual use...but it got stuck in reverse, and, personally I didn't want to take off the plastic face to try and mess with the innards, and it would have cost too much to get it fixed, so I figured I'd dip into my emergency fund and get a new one.

And my new one is love <3

 

It's a Singer Curvy, and she's beautiful.

My old one was my first one, and the one I learned used to learn how to sew, so honestly, I was a little hesitant to get a new one and have to learn a new way, but...my Curvy is so simple, so easy, and it runs so smooth. It doesn't even like eating my fabric, unlike my other one.
I just love it <3


So, I pretty much finished the outfit I was working on for the commission...
